About RinkCheck

Why this exists

Finding stick-and-puck ice time in Utah used to mean checking a dozen different rink websites every month — each with its own calendar format, buried deep in a parks department site, or updated inconsistently. I kept missing sessions I would have gone to if I had just known about them.

So I built RinkCheck. It gathers schedules from rinks across Northern Utah, categorizes them by activity type, and puts everything in one place so you can find ice time fast — especially on a phone, standing in a parking lot.

Who built it

My name is Mike. I've been playing beer league hockey at the Utah Olympic Oval for 14 years. I love this game and I want more people to play it. RinkCheck will always be free — that's the point. The more people who find ice time easily, the more people who fall in love with hockey.

How it works

RinkCheck automatically pulls public schedules from rink websites and registration systems, normalizes them into a common format, and updates them regularly. No manual data entry — if a rink updates its schedule, RinkCheck picks it up.
